The Administrative Assistant is a key office support role essential to the day-to-day operation of the office. The ideal candidate has a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and the initiative to see things that need to be done and provide support where needed in a dynamic office environment. We want someone who loves what we do as much as we do, and the rest can be taught. Key responsibilities include:
Responding to phone, e-mail and social media inquiries, or referring to the appropriate person
Maintaining order of paper and electronic files
Posting accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Processing payroll
Administrative support to management including drafting correspondence, taking minutes and scheduling meetings
Assisting in maintenance of corporate records
Posting updates on website, social media, or other communications channels as necessary, and/or disseminating information to others to do so
Helpful skills in this role would include:
Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office 365
Previous office experience
Have used Sage 50 or similar accounting software
Non-profit or board governed organization experience is a plus
This position is being advertised at 10-12 hours/week, with the opportunity to expand based on the skillset of the candidate to take on more varied tasks.
Wage Range: $21-26/hour depending on experience.
Schedule: Flexible, but expected to be primarily in-office.
